He was noted for repopulating a hair style cut, the bob cut, which was worn by Goldie Hawn, Mia Farrow and Cameron Diaz. He co-founded Paul Mitchell Systems with one of his former students. Paul Mitchell said that Sassoon was, "the most famous hairstylist in the history of the world."
