Near Very Good. Wear along outer and spine edges of cover, also a few reading creases, small "c" in pencil to front cover. Rear cover also shows some minor rubbing. Only minimal age browning on pages. Clean outer page edges. No marks to any text and binding tight and solid.
Very Good. No Jacket. 1st ed. Light wear to covers, spine with small stain at rear cover else very good-near fine. Top edge stained red, black cl; oth cover has red lettering on spine, a serties of red stripes run across the spine and front cover. "Terror lay heavy on that strange household on the Canadian border--but noy until Lieutenant Valcour of the New York Police arrived did the hand of murder strike, soundlessly, inexplicably--and then Valcour's strangest, most perilous case began" This synopsis is typed across the series of red stripes on the front cover.
