Near Fine in Very Good Plus jacket. TIGRERO. Prentice-Hall, N.Y. 1953, first edition, first printing, with a 1st state dust jacket. 266 pages, B & W photographs, map endpapers. "A true story of adventure in one of the wildest places on earth, told by a hunter who fights giant man-killing jungle cats, armed only with a spear." Laid in the book are three "5" x "7" B & W photos, one of Siemel while on a promotional book tour in the U.S.A. Another of Siemel meeting with movie producer Samuel Fuller and actress marjorie Hellen about a possible film. The 3rd photo was taken in their jungle camp, of Sasha's wife, Edith, his head-man, Lauro, and a close friend of the Siemels, Helen Blanchard Post (Post Cereals) who made several trips to Brazil to be with them. The book is tight and clean. There are no internal marks or inscriptions. The jacket is unclipped, complete and shows signs of normal edgewear/shelfwear. First printing copies of the first edition, and with the dustjacket have become very scarce. Near Fine/Very Good Plus.
