It is number 907 of an edition of 975 printed on Japon Vellum with an original colored woodcut on the title page by William Monk and printed by Walter Lewis at the University Press, Cambridge. It contains a reprint of Drakes edition of 1628 of "The World Encompassed" plus the following contemporary documents: 1. Francis Fletcher's notes, 2. John Cooke's narrative, 3. Thomas Doughty's oration, 4. Nuno da Silva's relation, 5. Drake in California, 6. Edward Cliffe's story, 7. Sarmiento de Gamboa's report, 8. Don Francisco de Zarate's Letter, 9. San Juan de Anton's testimony, 10. Drake's letter of safe-conduct, 11. the charge against Drake of hanging captives. All are in English or translated into English
