Far and away the best horse story I've ever read. Well written, vivid and heart-rending. You're there with La Bruja every step of her torturous journey crisscrossing the South American pampa, from her birth to the loss of her mother in a thunderstorm, to her ultimate freedom, and the price she pays for that freedom.
