Very good in good dust jacket. Tight copy, clean on inside, some wear to cover, DJ has a number of small tears. Blued cloth over boards, sewn binding, 272 pgs., illustrations, index. Audience: General/trade
Very Good in Fair jacket. Name stamp of a California ship captain front flyleaf. 272 pages. Illustrated with 27 captioned plates of ships. 8vo. Blue cloth. Gilt title on black spine label. The color pictorial dust jacket has seen better days with large chip out of front panel. Fortunately the jacket has been saved because the dated misprint of 1942 on the front over flap which should read 1492 proves this is the first edition of the title. Record # 220592.
Good. 272, illus., reading list, glossary, index, pencil erasure on front endpaper, spine faded. A social history of ships from the crude dugout canoe of the Stone Age to the mighty ocean liners of today.
