SIGNED in ink by Colum on first free endpaper, which also bears previous owner's name and date. Green and gray cloth covers clean; contents clean, unmarked, though a tad age-darkened (minor). DJ moderately worn, with bit of spotting/soil, browning along edges, small edge nicks, with two quarter-inch tears on rear panel and bit of paper loss (about 1/8 inch) at upper spine.;

Very Good. No Jacket. Inscribed By Author Padraic Colum (1881-1972) was a leading figure in the Irish Literary Revival; a poet, dramatist, and critic, both a friend and editor of James Joyce. He left Ireland before the Revolution and had a long and distinguished career in the United States. Originally published by Macmillan in 1932; this copy the Second Printing of a revised edition with new materical. Decorative paper-covered boards with a green linen spine and gilt lettering. Clean text; 214 pages, with Notes. This copy has been SIGNED and INSCRIBED by the author on the FFEP. Bookplate on the front paste-down Size: 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall.

Very good plus with attractive bookplate on front pastedown and a bit of offsetting where clipping was laid in, otherwise clean and tight. In a very good dust jacket ($5.00 price intact) with some sunning to spine and small chips at top and bottom of spine (with one piece of clear tape along edge at top). Laid in is the original promotional pamphlet from The Irish Book Club promoting this volume.
