Cloth & boards. Upper outer corner of front free endpaper has small red pencil marks and is a bit skinned from a removed sticker; bit of sunning to red top page edges; nearly fine otherwise. Dust jacket has some tanning and rubbing; creases and small closed puncture s to spine; good, but still respectable in appearance, no chips or clips. African-American author's second novel, autobiographical.
Very good. Dust jacket in good condition. First edition, first printing. Minor shelf and handling wear, overall a clean solid copy with minimal signs of use. Rubbing and scuffing to jacket; creasing and tearing (with some loss) to jacket edges; slight bumping to cloth corners. Binding is tight. Text is clean and bright. A nice copy.
