(includes frontispiece, seven plates in color). The author describes the birds he saw during one full year at Brewery Creek-which was very wild at the time, and is now a mecca for Ottawa bird-watchers. It is only a mile or so from the center of Canada's capital city, and enters the Ottawa River opposite the Ottawa residence of the High Commissioner in Rockcliffe Park. More than 170 species of birds are found in this oasis of nature within the city of Ottawa.
