Hardcover. First British edition. The first British edition of Salter's little noticed second novel. Scarce indeed. A near fine book in a very good dust jacket. Rubbing to the jacket tips, wear to the head and foot of the jacket spine. Light toning and soiling to the rear panel. Salter disliked the book so much that he rewrote and reissued the novel in 2001 and renamed it "Cassada". It is a "medley first person accounts of the arrival, training and eventual tragic end of a young pilot named Robert Cassada, " according to the New York Times.
