An almanac is actually a necessary book to keep to hand. It has the most varied and extensive information available under one cover. Of all the versions, over a period of 50 or more years, I have found the WORLD ALMANAC the most complete.

I get this almanac every year an wouldn't be without. You can't believe how many arguments it has solved. I read it from cover to cover and then use it for reference.

Is fun just to read!
Purchased this for my son to use while homeschooling as well as for our own personal use, ended up reading it just because it was so interesting. It has so much more than just statistical information like: biographies, major American government documents & their histories, a chronology of world history (including prehistory), world religions and even health condition descriptions! Exceedingly affordable, compact size - encourages learning in a fun way.
