Vol. I: [xiv], 247 pages. Vol. II: xi, [i] blank, 282 pages. Rebound in quarter leather with original spine labels affixed. The texts are lightly to moderately foxed, with the folding plates unaffected. Field 1437; Sabin 82852; Shaw & Shoemaker 49438. This first American edition is a handsome printing, with fine folding maps and plates, and is a cornerstone book about the early settlement in America, particularly Maryland and Virginia.
