A masterpiece of black humour from the renown comic and acclaimed author of 'At Swim-Two-Birds' - Flann O'Brien. This is a wonderfully black and slightly mad book. I loved it for its eccentricity and insanity. A great read and a wonderful introduction to Flann O'Brien's books.

I laughed on darn near every page. O'Brien is a gem of a humorist. Do yourself a favor and check out his work.

A delight!
This is a whimsical romp through the English language and an Irish fantasy world alike. O'Brien constantly confounds the reader and conjures up unforgettably ridiculous imagery to support a cast that defies description. A funny and spellbinding story.

patience
Don't give up while reading this book. The last page is the key to the story so just have faith until then. O'brien always delivers.
