This copy has been SIGNED by the Poet and Writer Cecil Day Lewis on the Front endpaper in blue pen. This copy has a firm binding with no hinge weakness. The book was acquired from the private working library of Cecil Day Lewis from his House in Greenwich. Cecil Day-Lewis CBE was an Irish poet and the Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1968 until his death in 1972. He also wrote mystery stories under the pseudonym of Nicholas Blake. He is the father of the double oscar winning Daniel Day-Lewis and documentary filmmaker and television chef Tamasin Day-Lewis.
