The Royal Philatelic Collection was begun by Edward VII when Prince of Wales, and his brother Prince Alfred, later Duke of Edinburgh. The Collection was greatly enhanced by George V who, when Prince George, Duke of York and Prince of Wales, made a substantial study of philately. The book presents the history of this collection.
