This is a wonderful book for anyone who cares about our environment. Written during a period when our Great lakes eco. system was in trouble. It really gives a great perspective on the road we were heading down. Today we still face many of the problems Mr. Barry talks about in this book, but a lot of things have been changed to better protect the Great lakes eco. system. A easy read for young or old I first read this book when I was about ten years old and even then at that age it made me think about the problems our natural recources faced at the time.
