Historical account of 'The Griffon', a ship built by de la Salle in 1670 on the upper reaches of the Niagara River, the first ship to sail above the Falls and the first merchant ship to sail the Great Lakes. Very Good in Good jacket. Book Blue watter pattern dust jacket, being print on spine. 118 pages. Name of person on FEP in ink. Two spots on the side edge of the pages that do not interfere with the text. The dust jacket is discolored on the side of the spine and back and crease of the folds, possibly from cigarettes. there are rubs at the edges of the folds and on the spine. There is a hint of cigarette smoke when the book is held close, not noticeable at normal reading length.
