necessity for anyone mourning a loved one's death
Mary Randolph's book has been a godsend. It is broken down into sections that address topics that you need to know to manage a loved one's estate. I am rereading the book two months after my mother's death. For a novice who knew little of estates and probate, this book was instrumental because I had a steep learning curve to handle the many legal issues that arose. I felt more comfortable going to probate and I learned about aspects that I would never have thought of (i.e. protection against credit card fraud). I think this should be mandatory reading for all family members.
