Inscription in ink to front fly. as new The author served in the PR Corps of the Canadian Armed Forced during World War II as assistant editor of "The Maple Leaf", the daily paper for the men stationed overseas. He presents an interesting perspective on the situtation in Europe, as one who had to decide what "made" the news and how it should be presented.
