From the grandeur of Creation to the glorious union of the Savior and his bride, God's love sweeps through eternity in the greatest of all love stories. A book of power, beauty, and grandeur. Rarely has a piece of Christian literature combined the simplicity of the storytelling art with the profound depths of the Christian faith.

classic
best reading I have done. I have bought about 15 of these books and given them away to friends who I wanted to be blessed like I was. Gene Edwards is top author in my library.

Loved Before Time
This allegory is a classic in Christian literature. It begins in Creation, but he really should have started the story before that, in eternity past, because that's how long God has loved His people. It goes into eternity future. It is the redemption story; how God chooses a people, his bride, for Himself and loves her throughout time and history. What I didn't like was that he gave the impression that God HAD to create, which He didn't. He is self-existent and was complete in Himself even if He never would have created anything. The other thing I didn't like was that he showed the creation of Eve as an afterthought, at a separate time, rather than the same day as Adam. I loved how he showed the development of His bride as a rejected newborn that He chose to love, to a young woman, to a wayward wife whom He purchased with His own life. When he keeps asking, "Who is that girl?" I was totally unprepared to turn the page and read, "You are that girl." The greatest love story.

romanced by the Lord
Anyone reading one of Gene Edwards' books knows that he has wrestled with knowing the Lord and how the Lord will romance each of us to a place of intimacy.
