It seems like this was a promotional catalogue of current offerings, not a compelation of historical types, like any "Complete Encyclopeadia" would be.
There are 13 entries for the Browning Hi-Power, but none for ANY of three dozen older but significantly more important historical types. Colt 1873 "Peace Maker" for instance.

Great resource
I bought this book for my husband at Xmas. He enjoyed it so much he asked me to order one for our grandson. He has shown this book to many friends and they are all impressed with the information and pictures that are included. This is a great resource.
