A nice complement to books describing Christian progress and problems with the Roman empire.

It is amazing... 6 starts
It is a very interesting point of view. I have read much on those subjects, but always felt I needed something more pagan and less Christian. The reason? : to understand the situation in those old days. This book does not have waste. Galenus, Celsus and Plinio: a delicious reading.
