The fifth in the Million Dollar Mysteries series, this was a fitting conclusion. It follows P.I. Callie Webber, who works for a mysterious philanthropist, investigating charities. As Callie learns more about Tom and his connection to a pivotal event in her life, it threatens their budding relationship. Tom is sworn to secrecy, and has never approved of her investigating him, but now he hopes she'll uncover the truth that he can't tell her. It is a mystery about cryptography and terrorists. The romance is so sweet, and it doesn't hurt that this handsome, generous man is also a multi-millionaire. She also finally finds out why his organization is called J.O.S.H.U. A.
It's set in New Orleans, and was written in 2004, before Katrina hit a year later. They talk about the fact that it's just a matter of time before a hurricane causes flooding of biblical proportions. How true they were. I loved this series and would recommend this author to anyone who wants a book that is an enjoyable read.
