Its a great book especially if your a Knight Templar & want a very good record of exactly what happened & when. It puts you into the middle of things like you was there...eye witness to the battles & such. I learned more from this book than I learned as a KT in the past 10 years. There's no hype or bending of the stories. The author was told to "write what you see" ...don't take sides...tell the story as it happens/happened. Being a muslin, it must have been hard not to lean to that side of the story. He did a great job of writing history.
