Illustrated with 26 black & white photographs. The book recounts her travel to Jamaica and Haiti on a Guggenheim Fellowship to study island folklore, hoodoo, voodoo, and traditional music. Laid in are two black & white period photographs of the Citadel built in Haiti in 1820. Good+ book with light shelfwear to the bottom edge and spotting to the top stain in a good only dust jacket with chipping to the corners. Still a very nice copy!
