Good in Good jacket. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. Minor edge and corner wear to the dj, lightly scuffed and scratched, corners are lightly bumped and rubbed, some light shelf wear, missing the rear-free-endpaper, ex-library with the usual library markings, overall a nice used first edition (stated)! Green boards quarterbound by brown cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. Deckle page edges. Dj is nicely preserved in a brand new protective mylar plastic cover! "Horse racing may have begun as the sport of kings and gentlemen, but it remains a humbling experience for most of those involved in it. Racing is a ride on the whell of fortune, where money counts, but where neither wealth, hard work, nor social standing is any guarantee of success."
