Original patterned green and pink floral cloth, stamped gilt lettering, top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed, illustrated with four color plates (all present), pictorial (various Japanese motifs) leaves. Hardcover, very good, no dustjacket. Corners bumped, spine moderately tanned, rubbed at head and foot with a closed horizontal tear along cloth at lower edge of foot. Internally, previous owner's gift inscription dated 1910, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked. Modern first; Japan; fine binding.
Kataoka, Genjiro. Very Good. Book. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. 243 pp. Gold embossed red boards lightly rubbed with general shelf wear, bumped corner. Top edge gilt. Small piece of white paper attached to back. Tight spine. Four color plates, endpapers and all page edges decorated.
Very good. Minor shelf and handling wear, overall a clean solid copy with minimal signs of use. Cover is bright and in great condition. pages are clean and unmarked with tight bidning. Pages are decorated with light drawings. Top of pages have glit. Previous owners bookplat inside front cover. Secure packaging for safe delivery.

A tale of old Japan, illustrated with four color plates and with a background illustration in printed in light gray surrounding and behind the text. Red cloth, illustrated endpapers, 244 pages. Light edgewear, mainly rubbing to the spine ends, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages free from names or other markings. First US Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall.
Genjiro Kataoka. Very Good- A solid used copy with no markings. The 4 color plates are present, but the one serving as frontispiece is present but detached with its glassine cover. Its edges are rubbed/ dinked. Asian motifs decorate all the pages. There is no publisher's box. This volume is a fairly bright olive green cloth, with pink floral decorations and gilt titling. The spine is very lightly darkened. Very light rubbing to tips/ edges, but not cracked or worln through. Altogether a very pleasant copy. Size: 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall.
