"Somewhere a Cat is Waiting" is, simply, my all-time favorite book. Author Derek Tangye and his wife Jeanne left a glamorous life in London and moved to a small cottage on the coast of Cornwall where they raised daffodils on the cliffs and wrote about their life there. Full of astute detailed observations and wisdom, all Tangye's books (more than thirty of them) are full of lyrical prose and unabashed sentiment. I was fortunate enough to meet Derek Tangye on several occasions and those meetings were like stepping into his books.
