End-pages yellowing, and green cover with gilt design on front has expected age-wear, with spine faded. A study of the sirens of ancient Greek and Roman mythology by one of the great stylists of the early 20th century. First published in 1911, it was reprinted as part of the New Adelphi Library (Volume 26) in 1927 and reprinted in 1929.
