But her plan to stay emotionally detached soon falls by the wayside when she meets the elusive Mr. Big (Chris Noth), who comes in and out of Carrie's life as she has dalliances with a model, a much-younger guy, and a Frenchman who leaves her a $1000 "tip" in the morning. Miranda, meanwhile, goes out with a "modelizer" and later becomes involved with a sensitive nerd named Skipper (Ben Weber).
