A captivating tale!
Search and Detect by Terri Reed is a page turner. I enjoyed getting to know Zoe Jenkins, FBI Agent Chase Rawlston, and Chase�s K9 partner, Dash. I love Dash who is clever and protective. The characters are complex, especially Chase who is struggling with the loss of his wife and child. Zoe and Chase are both fearful of loving and trusting someone again. If Zoe and her daughter are going to survive, she will need to trust Chase (and Dash). There is danger, suspense, and action which kept the story lively. I enjoyed the twists and turns as they work to identify the Rocky Mountain Killer. Faith is nicely woven into the story. I like how the author balanced the suspense with touching, emotional moments. While Search and Detect is the eighth book in the Mountain Country K-9 Unit, it can be read as a standalone. I have a feeling, though, that you will want to go back and read all the books in this engaging series. Search and Detect is a captivating tale with a big boom, a clever canine, a grieving FBI agent, a cruel killer, a darling daughter, and God�s grace.
