Handsomely illustrated light blue endpapers with white outlined canoe, its occupants and starry sky. Pgs faintly tanning with age. Text nice and clean. Small sticker residue on back pastedown, probably from bookseller sticker. DJ has very attractive yellow/white/blue cover illus. of youth and Native paddling canoe through swift water. Jacket has moderate edgewear and rubbing. Corners and spine ends worn. 1.5" approx. tear down top of front dj spine edge; a 3/4th-inch tear top back edge. All lettering is clear. Not price-clipped. In protective, removable plastic.
Very Good in Near Fine jacket. Reprint ("E"-probably fifth printing). Illustrated by Edward Shenton. Tear to the cloth at the spine, thus very good in near fine dustwrapper with a corresponding chip at the crown. Young man captured during the French and Indian War. A bright copy.
