Fair. 160 pages. Both hinges gone. Substantial staining to both boards. Portrait of author on front board. Small sticker inside back board reads "J S Wilson Bookseller Keighley." Gilt on spine still legible. Author was born on March 22nd 1836 at Hoyle House End near Hermit Hole on the road out of Keighley. Hence his writing name "Bill O'th' Hoylus End." In 1876 he produced a book of poems called "Random Rhymes and Rambles". The present volume is a revised edition of that work. Preface reads in part "The Author respectully submits to the general public of his native town and district, this volume of poems, containing some of the chief results of his musings for the past thirty years." Author also produced "History of O' Haworth Railway" which was first published in 1866.
