Robin Scroggs, of the Union Seminary, New York, has persistently communicated a sense of connection between New Testament interpretation and the "everyday lives and social needs and contexts of real human beings." He has urged interpreters to "put body and soul together again" by moving beyond an exegetical method that operates "as if believers had minds and spirits unconnected with their individual and corporate lives" to one that attends to the "(dynamic) interaction between social reality and theological assertions."
