Very Good. 1936. 391 pages. Light red cloth with navy titling. Cloth moderately rubbed, scuffed and faded. Light edgewear. Mylar covering should help prevent further scuffing. Spine and binding sound. No jacket. Interior lightly age toned. A few corners creased. Interior otherwise clean and unmarked.
First edition. Very good. Hardcover lightly rubbed at spine ends and corners, spine faded, cover and foredges lightly soiled, pages lightly browned, writing on front endpaper. VG+ First Edition in VG+ conditon. Shelf wear to the base of the spine and along the bottoms of the boards. Light rubs at the upper spine tips. Mild toning to the page edges. Former owner's name and date written in small letters/numbers on the front end paper.
Read but in good condition. SIGNED by Downey, "with best regards". Ex-library copy with library sticker on the inside front cover. Library stickers removed from the inside rear cover, but some residue remains. Shelfwear with rubbing to the corners, some fading and rubbing on the front and rear covers. Pages are age toned. Brick and mortar bookshop since 1975!
