Robert Lawson. Fine in Very Good jacket. A flawless copy of this RARE title, the author's only foray into children's fiction. Lacks the illustrated endpapers of the first edition, but has rest of Lawson's charming illustrations, and is covered in a facsimile of a gently worn but scarce jacket.
This is a fantasy novel about a young lad (Poo-Poo) who goes up the fuchsia bush one day and finds a dragon. Horatio the dragon is soon joined by a female dragon and the three have a variety of adventures. It is beautifully written and designed to appeal greatly to children of all ages (but especially those age 6 to 9, or adults, like me, who remember it from their own childhood). It is thoroughly enjoyable and stands the test of time.
