i bought a older version that is more compact and portable. i am finding that most survival books are kind of the same, but this one gets a bit more creative with shelters.

GREAT FOR BASIC SKILLS
This book is a wonderful resource for those outdoor folks who carry extremely limited gear. It seems to be written for those who want to enter the wilderness without the help of modern equipment. The black-and-white photos and drawings are very informative.
This instructional book shows how to make blankets from bark. hooks and fishing line, and shelters from the surrounding materials. If you are into camping and surviving with little else but a knife, this is the book for you. The Stone Age can return.
