Good. 0500234345 264pp. (black spine) 4to. 1986. First edition. A good plus, tight copy in very good plus jacket. The text supported by numerous photographic reproductions in colour and black and white of the artist and his work. Original publisher's green cloth-with silver embossed title to the spine and the Thames and Hudson motif to the front board. A former owner's name, place and date to the upper corner of the front paste-down. Newspaper clippings pasted to the front paste-down, rear endpaper and rear paste-down. The jacket has not been price-clipped and remains in lovely condition.
Very Good in Very Good jacket. Ex-Library. 4to. 264 pp. Ex Library copy with normal markings. Dustjacket has light wear on the edges with creasing on the spine. Light browning to page edges. Glue marks on endpapers. Messel was a designer for theatre, ballet, opera and films for over 40 years.

Complete with original dustjacket: in decent shape, just slightly rubbed and moderately edge-worn. Contents sound and clean; no pen-marks. Not from a library so no such stamps or labels. Thus a tidy book in presentable condition.
