In 1903 Heindel moved to Los Angeles, California, where he joined the Theosophical Society of Los Angeles, of which he became vice-president in 1904 and 1905. While lecturing in Berlin he claimed to have been visited by an entity who later identified himself as an Elder Brother of the Rosicrucian Order, after which he went on to found The Rosicrucian Fellowship in 1909. Heindel wrote a number of books on occultism, healing and astrology, this being one of them. Covers a bit rubbed and darkened, page edges and endpapers browned and a little discoloured, bookshop inkstamp, light split to text block at middle but still a solid and unmarked Good copy.
