This book is perfect for those looking for a brief introduction into the practice of self massage. Small enough to fit into a purse or briefcase, it is a handy guide to stress relief and relaxation through massage. Black and white photos are used as a helpful guide for the reader to use correct form and the directions for hand placement are done in an EASY step by step format. The author puts in a very nice introduction about massage and it's various uses. She also includes a section on techniques for specific ailments. One of the features of the book that I like most is appendix #2-it is a list of commonly asked massage questions and the corresponding page that details the answer. As a therapist, I would recommend this book to any of my clients who were looking for a quick and easy reference guide to basic self massage.
