Anne Waldman was the force behind hundreds of poetry readings as director from 1968 to 1974 of the Poetry Project at St. Mark's Church In-The-Bowery. After that she co-directed the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado.
Edition limited to 1550 copies, this being one of 100 copies on hand-made paper signed by Waldeman and bound at the Campbell-Logan Bindery (this copy marked 'binder's copy'), 8vo, pp. -75, ; mounted portrait of the poet after the colophon by Gerard Malanga; original red cloth-backed paper-covered boards, printed paper label on spine, original acetate dust jacket; small tape stains on pastedowns, otherwise fine.
