Author inscribed with beautiful grazing horse illustration to wood artist/craftsman Becherer "To Ralph Becherer with our affection George & Elizabeth"; George Zabriskie's poem Like The Root, dedicated to his wife and illustrator Elizabeth was completed on a Guggenheim Fellowship. Zabriskie is also know for this first book, The Mind's Geography.
