Good. New edition. Original brown and stamped gilt pictorial cloth, 247 pp + 251 pp + ads, illustrated with plates. Hardcover, fair to good. Corners bumped with cardboard exposed there and at spots along edges of boards, gilt rubbed, some soil and drop marks on cloth, open tear along most of rear joint and lower portion of the front joint, 1/4 inch fraying at head and foot of spine. Internally, free endpapers torn out, pencil parks on blank reverse side of last leaf, front and rear hinges cracked, shaken, occasional foxing, plates age tanned, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked.
