Good+/VG+ First Edition of this very hard-to-find book. SIGNED by author C.J. Conway with the author's inscription: "To Mags. You got to see this book when it was a series of slides floating around in a light table, and a bunch of ideas laying around my head. Look at it and think of me. CJ, '95." This book is in exceptional condition, with no wear to the boards or binding. All pages as-new, but for one page where the photo has been cut out. 9.5" x 12.25", 112 pages, outstanding photographs by Tom Thomson. In high demand by collectors and from cottagers at Lake of the Woods, this tremendous book is one of the few volumes that can match the natural beauty of the lake. CJ Conway's true stories complement Tom Thomson's gorgeous shots, and evoke the lake with scientific description, historical narrative, and lake yarns.
