Coburn, John. Very Good in Near Fine jacket. Folio. HEAVY. 204pp, catalogue, bibliography, chronology, 88 col plates. Or red cloth in dust jacket. Heavily foxed on endpapers and prelims, otherwise internally clean; somewhat musty. The first major work on the paintings of John Coburn, this monograph is a must for any library om Australian art and painting.
As New in Near Fine jacket. Folio-over 12-15" tall. pp. 206. Book as new in dark red board, very fractionally yellowing around page edges, otherwise pristine. Dust jacket in overall excellent condition but has some slight rubbing or score marks, and spine is slightly faded. Full-colour plates on each page of the work of this Queensland-born abstract impressionist, deeply immersed in the landscape of his country. Spanning three and half decades of his work, this is the first book to be devoted to the work of arguably the 'elder statesman' of Australian art. Introduction and commentary by Nadine Amadio. This is a heavy book and will require extra postage, especially outside the UK.
