This Book Can Change Your Life
Clutter is a problem for me--my home is filled with carefully filed memories. I'm always trying to find ways to deal with my clutter, but alas! clutter is SOOO HARD to deal with. Peter Walsh must have learned a lot from his stint as a professional organizer for the hit series Clean Sweep, because he understands why people accumulate clutter and has developed workable solutions for handling it. This book makes sense for me, and even my husband is getting inspired to reduce the load of memories he has been saving.

It's all about your stuff
The author explains why we need to get rid of too much stuff, why our stuff is snuffing out our lives, and what too much stuff does to a person and his family. He takes a strong stand on how to decide what stuff to get rid of and how to get rid of our stuff and still come up smiling. Unless you live in a minimalist loft, you need to read this book.

Motivating
This book suited me. Although the theory in Part I seemed a bit overdone, still it pressed the author's belief that a change of mindset is essential to ending the collecting and hoarding mentality. Actually, I could hear myself saying the excuses he used in his examples, which he successfully shot down. I felt like I could take his solutions and run with them. In Part II he walks through all the rooms in a home, coaching and instructing the reader to evaluate and act on their decisions. I'm sure many people will come out winners after reading this book and adopting its practices.
