Heavy rub mark on front has dented texture. No stamping. Hinges starting at front. Two cigarette burns through to ix, one to xiii, scorching to following part title. Small edge burn at top. All in margins, not sffecting text. the plates are facsimiles of costume drawings by Jones for five masques, (with notes by J.R. Plache following the life), of which four are foldout. One which folds at the top is creased, dusty and edgeworn with some loss at the top edge of the staff held by the figure, and worn at the foredge. Slightly cracked and with faint variable age toning.
