Small "Bookmobile" stamp to bottom of copyright page. Couple half-inch tears to jacket and the usual creasing to jacket flaps. Inscribed and signed by O'Brien on the title page.
Good in Facsimile (new) jacket. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. Signed by Author Stated First Printing, the author signs and inscribes on the front endpaper, ending To____ I hope this book helps explain something about the War. "Peace, Tim O'Brien" Supplied with a brand new facsimile DJ and the original DJ which is only fair shape, much wear and soiling, still a nice piece to have. The volume itself has a slight slant to the spine.
Signed by Author First printing of the author's first book, very good in a very good dust jacket. The green boards are slightly faded at top and bottom edge. and the yellow cloth spine is slightly soiled along the top. Thin line of darkening on front and rear pastedowns where the flaps of the jacket were taped, and smaller areas of offsetting on the endpapers. The jacket has a little edgewear, and a small area of loss at the bottom of the front panel. The tape was neatly removed from the endpapers and flaps, leaving a little yellowing along the edge of both flaps, about 3" to 4". Signed by the author on the title page: "Peace, Tim O'Brien". A high spot in Vietnam War literature.

AUTHOR'S INCREDIBLY RARE 1ST BOOK, very light amount of the usual board edge sunning, else FINE in FINE dust jacket with a smoothed crease at the bottom corner of the front flap, SIGNED TWICE BY THE AUTHOR on the title page (with a tiny amount of ink offsetting from one of the signatures on the facing page), ONE OF THE RAREST BOOKS OF THE 70'S.
