The recipes range from simple to complex restaurant style plated desserts. Some are not for the faint of heart but if you are like me and adore a good kitchen challenge the very clear directions make every recipe approachable.
The directions are numbered, which is my favorite format for recipes. This volume is a smaller format that his other chocolate to die for series so I did find it easier to work with this volume in the kitchen than some of his previous books. There is also plenty of room in the margins for cook's notes.
There are simple candy and cookie recipes as well as stunning plated desserts and cakes. A really well rounded collection of desserts all with chocolate.All of the recipes use easy to find, grocery store ingredients as well as Chef's Notes side bars to give you some tips to make things easier or add something to gild the lily.
