An indispensable field guide to Insects
I?ve had the second edition of this book in my personal library since the mid 1960s. I?ve moved many times and have purged many books from my shelves, but I?ve found this little book impossible to discard or sell. My interest in entomology is limited, but this book has proven itself to be an extremely valuable reference over the years. It is an incredibly comprehensive study of insects with a helpful index and picture glossary. The illustrations contain good detail, and the procedure for identifying common species by orders and families is easy to follow. The book also provides practical advice on how to build and mount an insect collection if you are into that kind of thing.
